Star Seismic's new PowerCat™ series of Buckling Restrained Seismic Braces have completed qualification testing at UCSD's CalTran's SRMD Laboratory at the University of California at San Diego. At UCSD, our seismic braces were tested in sub-assembly configurations with accumulated inelastic deformations of over 1500 (AISC/SEAoC recommends 140 minimum).
